How we compare

How we compare casinos

Every brand on the site is reviewed against the same checklist, so the scores mean roughly the same thing from one card to the next.

The six things we check

We start from a fixed set of criteria rather than whatever an operator happens to promote. Each one feeds into the editorial score you see on the card.

  • Licensing and safety. We check that the operator is licensed for the UK market and that its safer-gambling tools are easy to find.
  • Terms transparency. We read the bonus and withdrawal terms and note how clearly they are written, not just whether an offer exists.
  • Site usability. We look at how quickly you can find games, set limits and reach support on both desktop and mobile.
  • Payments. We record the deposit and withdrawal methods on offer and whether processing times are stated openly.
  • Game range. We consider the spread of slots and table games rather than treating a bigger number as automatically better.
  • Support quality. We note the contact channels available and how clearly the help centre answers common account questions.

How the score is formed

We weigh up the six areas above and settle on a single figure out of five. It’s a comparison opinion meant to help you weigh brands against each other — not an official certification and not a promise about your own experience. We deliberately avoid giving every brand the same score, because the whole point is to show where they differ.

A higher score never means a better chance of winning. Outcomes are random and set by the games. Our scores only reflect the quality and clarity of the service around them.

What our ratings are not

  • They are not official, regulatory or endorsed by anyone.
  • They are not a guarantee of payouts, approval or results.
  • They are not based on fabricated review counts or invented user testimonials.

Keeping things current

Operators change their terms, tools and payment options regularly. We revisit brands and adjust our notes when something material changes, but the operator’s own terms are always the final word — so check them before you register. For the full policy, see our editorial review policy.
